Discipline

.

Today I sent a kid out of fifth period. On the form, under REASONS, I wrote this:

    talking
    moving desks
smashing an aluminum can on his head
    blowing pencil shavings
    cussing
    pretending to be a train

  1. Oh, come now, who among us hasn't done all of those things before? Don't be so hard on the train -- er, boy.

  2. Pretending to be a train... I wish that would happen in my class.

  4. Man, I missed out. All I ever pretended to be in high school was an uptight perfectionist.

A train would have been much better.

  5. Someday that creative kid will be an English major and he will brag about the time he got kicked out of his English class... and won't you be proud to have set him on the path of obedience and right-ward thinking. :)

  6. Last PTC one of my kids teachers asked if I knew she had "squirel tendencies"?

    "Ummm...No, is this a problem?"

"I view it as entertainment" was his reply.

Apparently she kept losing her pencil before calculus. So she brought a box to store in the flase ceiling. It has caught on - at the end of class she stands on her desk and makes squirell noises. People chuck her their pencils and she puts them with her stash.

    My daughter:

    Stands on desks
    Hides contraband in ceiling
    Makes animal noises
    Pretends to be a squirell

Hey! I commented here a couple hours ago!

I'll have nothing with a blog that doesn't publish my comments!
