Cursed editing

.

It doesn't matter how much something is looked over and triple checked because one repealed change considered for design purposes only will result in something like opportunnity to slip through. It will, of course, immediately be noticed during assembly, but then it is too late.

We're not wealthy people!

So far I have found two such errors...and they are on the same page. It's enough to break your heart....

  2. I know I'm not a good editor, because most of the time, when I am done creating a document, I am done with it. I don't care what's wrong with it.

But, once we hired a locally prominent PR firm to do flyers for us, and they had two major typos on the flyers. We didn't notice the typos until after 10,000 color copies had been made and mostly distributed. And the saddest thing is, they could have been caught with spell check. Why couldn't they just have run spell check?

    I have a guess:

In Word, it's a cinch to run spellcheck one more time.

In Quark, you can't. No spellcheck.

    That's what happened to us.
