In Memoriam: MSH
My straw hat downgraded significantly beyond when these pictures were taken and, indeed, was replaced a few weeks ago.
My straw hat, in other words, is deceased.
This is a new experience for me. Usually I leave my hats on public transit or in a fabric store--I have never worn one out. So I wasn't sure what to do with it. But we are moving, and it couldn't come with us.
So last night, when we headed out into the desert to burn a bag of receipts and credit card statements, we brought friend hat with us.
I said a few words, then we sent it to haberdasherheaven.
Goodbye, friend hat.
